Today in games design I was doing a research task which I had to use the images from what I got last Monday after I went on a trip to the royal armouries. We were told we were going to use these images as part of our research and to help give us ideas on how to make a design for our own 3D weapon and then turn it into a 3d model.
Today I was starting off by making a mind map to gain a few ideas to start of thinking of what my weapon may be like, whether it is either a melee weapon or long range the choice is mine. Here is the mind map of what I made at the start of the lesson just putting my first few ideas down.
After that I then went onto making a mood board using some of the pictures which I gathered from my trip, however I had an unusual problem uploading the photo’s of the device I used so I will update it later with some of the pictures which I took.

After the mood board I then went onto making a document which stated what primary and secondary research was. Primary is basically first hand research what you got yourself, for example if I went to a museum and gathered information there that would be primary, secondary would be using information from book’s and online websites, for my mood board I used both primary and secondary images of which I took and found online.
