For this lesson on my game design course I have been sketching out different types of assets of which I will likely be putting into my game for my environment to bring it to life.
From the images below you can see things such as hatchet, book and table. These are all sketched out to also expand my ideas of what can be in my post apocalyptic environment to help me decide what may be in it. I want to make it seem like there have been people in my environment before as if people had once lived in the place I am currently designing which is a mansion.
Some of these things such as the cutlary can be around the dinning areas and kitchen, to make them look post apocalyptic to my environment I could make the texture dusty looking with a bit of dirt on it as well as having it placed specifically on a certain area of the ground to make it seem like it was pushed off the table as if people were in a hurry to get out if the world was ending.
Things like the broken plank and vines can be in also to show that time has been decaying the building as well. There could be things like would planks on the floor if they have been snapped of from a beam of wood which perhaps had been part of the structure to keep the place together.

After I sketched out some of the sketches into a little more detail, here is one of them which is a crate. I have added in little details to show were the wood structure is all in place and were bolts can be placed to make it look like the crate is being kept together with proper structure.
If i were to put this in my environment I could make it more post apocalyptic by making the wood textures more dark and dusty, maybe even add in some cracks to show its age.

After doing all of this I went onto creating my blueprints at the end of the day below is a simple blue print of the first one I made in Photoshop which is the glass bottle blue print. I have only made one for my bottle as it will look the same in terms of its shape and size on each side.

Overall doing these sketches has helped me to understand what may go in my environment or what should not go in and intend to continue making blue prints and then move onto making the models for my assets.
