Portal
From what I can tell from this image is that it uses lighting to show important objects in the game level, the brighter it is the more meaning it usually has, for example the portals are bright coloured and so are the laser trackers to show the player were things are. It also has colour co ordination as the white walls you can put portals on while the darker walls you can not. The game layout in portal is designed to challenge the player to make them think were to go as they use the map layout to make it complex to give the player a puzzle to solve.

Overwatch
From what i can tell from this image is that I like the gameplay, this is because the game has a lot of interesting fights in the games to make in compelling and addicting to play over and over again, they use different effects to make the game feel more impact-full to the player. I also know that there is many flank routes in each level helping attackers have different options to attack from making it harder for the defenders to stay safe, it also helps the players make different tactics in the game to beat their opponents as they use the level’s layout to their advantage. From the image i can also tell that there is many things which can give the players cover from enemy fire such as trucks and other objects which you would find in this environment to give cover from the line of sight of the enemy.

Post apocalyptic
The Walking Dead Telltale Series
From what i can tell from this image of the walking dead what i like about the level is that it makes you feel like your in an apocalyptic environment. What i like at first is the lighting, the lighting is used well this is because in the game it spotlights the key areas it focuses on keeping you engage with the characters but at the same time make you feel a bit more concerned and worried as the dark ring around the characters can represent them being trapped and no way out from danger as the zombies or enemy survivors in this case surround you. I have played this game myself, and at one point in the first season the power cuts out representing just after they say “they will be all right”, representing and foreshadowing the dangers ahead.
The second thing i like about this level specifically is the style, this is because it reflects the comic books well of which The Walking Dead originated from, this makes it faithful to the theme of what it is and to anyone who has read the comics may feel a little nostalgia if it brings them back if they have not read, watched or played The Walking Dead in a while.

The last of us

What i like about the last of us is that it focuses the lighting on the key areas well to show how nature has taken over the land as time has gone as natural structure are decaying away as if they are dying to show its post apocalyptic feeling. The lighting also gets dimmer as it moves out as it shows to be more foggy making the environment feel more realistic and makes the player more emerged in the game.
I also like the style of the realistic graphics as when it comes to post apocalyptic themed games it needs to show realism to always help emerge the player in the game as if they were there which this game does well.
Fantasy
Dragon Quest

What i like about this game is that it uses bright colours to show an unrealistic world and to show its unusual aspects of it as a fantasy game, in this image it also uses its bright colours to make you feel that this specific creature is perhaps powerful. Its lighting is also good as it highlights areas which are usually more dangerous to the player to wonder of to.
I also like the style of the game as fantasy games are usually go for cartoon graphics as apposed to realistic, this makes the game of course less realistic to show off its fantasy elements better.
Spyro

Uses bright colours to portray the world to make it more cheerful to the player as compared to other genres as they usually use more darker shades of colours in a more realistic tone, the cartoon look it portray’s shows the theme of the game better for a fantasy genre.
The level also has unrealistic things such as portals and dragons in the game which can make the player wonder more into the world wanting to discover what secrets it has to it. From inspecting the image i see it is using the path level layout as it lets the player walk around to different areas such as the maze on the left, a castle which goes in a hill, a portal and an additional path way.
