Map Layouts

For my project I had designed the mapping layouts for my project, I have done a rough image of my main area of my map and have done the block outs locating were each of the areas of the game sections are. I also have some asset sketches and mood boards as to what my environment will be like.

Map Rough drawings

In a one of these you can see a TV from the top layout as it was originally going to be set in the present but I have decided to change that to a fire place so that the lighting makes sense.

This one I attempted to design it in a 3d scale to get a sense of what it may look like and may feel from a third person perspective, I think I should have used an additional anchor point or placed it somewhere else as it did not come out as I intended but Ill practice on that in my own time to perfect it.

Map block out, these are the 3 areas of the game which I have decided to work on, these areas being the main area of were the player starts off at (the lower half of the mansion), the second area being the upstairs areas and last but not least the cellar which will also contain my maze using boxes.

I was told for doing things like the walls I should do just one small part of it which I can then duplicate around the area and change some of the textures and details so it can be done more efficiently and less hassle of doing the whole thing. I have so far decided to do this for my walls and for my crates which ill put in the maze of the basement. As long as I have the correct measurements I can do this correctly.
