Mood Board Research

From my research i have found out that i have preferred to go for the post apocalyptic theme. I have researched two other types of environmental themes what i could go for which is sci-fi and fantasy.

Here are the mood board for sci-fi and fantasy which i also research.

However in the end i believe my theme is about some kind of event which led to an apocalyptic future, this could have been from a zombie apocalypse to some kind of virus which wiped out at least the majority of people. In my mood board i have put in some pictures of ruins and ones with leaves breaking through the walls showing how time may have past, i have a couple of other picture focusing on vines and moss as they can represent using nature in my environment to make the world look like its getting taken back by nature making it harder to find what was left of what people made. For surviving people they may use horses to travel around fast or that horses may have survived what ever has wiped out the majority of people, they could be found around the landscape in the streets were they usually may not be. There is also a picture of an insect because if nature were to take over from what we build so would animals and insects as they could make homes within the places that used to be once buildings. I also have a few spooky looking forests to help set the tone of the post apocalyptic future to make the area also feel as if your alone, the colour pallet would also help with this as I would only use darker colours to make you feel as if you are alone and helpless in the environment. The axe and cabin can represent that people have to find safe shelters because there would be  few places that would be safe in the environment and that the last survivors may need to defend themselves and hunt to survive.
