Reflection 1

To day in game design I have been learning about unreal, UCAS and have been finishing my mood boards.

In unreal i have been  learning of how the engine works of what tools to use and how to use them. I have also had to design an area in my game which contained 4 corridors, 2 additional rooms, a central hub, a floor and a roof. I did this and had a bit of time to add in a couple of extra features of my own which would be some pillars and staircases to make the environment better. I then had to do a little bit of reflection on 3ds max to make a door, I was also told I could only use quad shapes to make it better and that I had 20 minutes to do it. I added some detail by giving it a little depth by adding on a frame and also put on some bars to make it look like it had structure, last of all i then  had to export it and import it into unreal. I then had to get different chunks of code which would operate different things about the door to make it move when i go near it so that it would open in my game.

Next i had to understand some things about UCAS, I had to understand about why going to a university is good so that i would know about how it can be beneficial for me in the future in wanting to get a job. I also had to make sure that I had an account registered to UCAS so that I could apply later on.
