Reflection #5

For this week of my project I have been  working on my main menu and have been experimenting as to how my game looks as well as how it performs in my game engine and as to how it feels to the player as I want the experience from the start to feel very polished as to how my game feels.

It may be a 2d game but I have a couple of 3d elements to the game, the first being that the title is 3d  and the second thing is that in the main menu I have many different images to which are ordered in different layers so that it gives off a 2d, 3d affect to the viewer. For example one of the clouds are in front of my title while the other two are behind it, there is also my animated dragon on front of my background as it flaps in its animation while the background has been animated slowly to move in the background to give it a distant feel.2d title 3.PNG

I have also changed the background quite a bit this week as I have heavily changed it a bit from being one 2d image to being several 2d images as I cut up the original to make it look effective to a distant look. This is not all for every image I have made them clear and not blurry for each pixel image as some of them were blurred when I re scaled them, the reason for this is that the image sprite did not have a no point effect put on it meaning it was in its default state as a blinear image making the original blurred.

I also have animated my main menu with the clouds in the background moving as well as the ground using the animator tool so that it moves constantly at a pace so make it look like it is moving. I did this by making the image level out at both ends so I can connect with an addition image which would move in its place during the animation and then do it all over again as it looks to the player as if its moving along the world.
