Reflection 6 (week 5)

This week in game design I have been working on making a wall in 3ds max, block outs and updating blogs.

I have been making a wall in 3ds max by simply making a plane and using the editable poly tool to transform the plane so that the shape looks like a wall which I can easily copy and place more of the same around the room, I also have made a door way in it as well by copying the wall and editing it using the connect and chamfer tools in editable poly, I selected polygons to cut out the doorway and then bridged the gap to make the wall built up again between the gap. Overall doing this task in 3ds max was easy to do since I have worked on 3ds max in the previous year.

This week I of course have been continuing the block outs to make sure I have got all the shapes what I need to plan out the area of were everything is. As usual nothing has changed in terms of how easy or hard it is to make the block outs, to me it has been a breeze and have enjoyed doing it in the process as well. I have also finished the block outs as well as the lighting to the project and next lesson I will start doing overdraws to show what will be in the level in more detail.image for overdrawing 1

Last of all I have been making sure I have been keeping up to date with my blogs and have been catching up with that, I will later today be putting on a couple of images of which I will put on to finish updating them.

Overall this week has been easy for me and look forward to the next week doing the overdraws and will also be finishing my blueprint assets.
