For this week of my project I have been finishing my sprites and animations which I aim to have complete for Friday. I have made my dragon attack animation, my cyclopes attack animation as well as make additional sprites to go into my scene such as my new tree design look.
Here is a 2d tree what I made for my scenery in the background, the reason I have made this is so that background scenery does not seem dull and lifeless with nothing there. With tree in the background it will make it more interesting to look at. For my tree leaves I have added three different shades of green, this is so it adds depth to the tree. Each shade has a colour for a reason, the lightest shade is the the main leafs of what u can see. The second lightest shade of leaves it to make depth to the leafs seem as if they are starting to drop of at a point as if there are branches between the leafs holding each section up. The last shade the darkest shade is used to outline were each of the different leaf sections end adding a bit of shadow underneath it and to also outline the tree so that it look as it there is perhaps more leafs behind it feel a little less 2d for pixel art.

Another asset for my game scenery is my 2d stone this is to go underneath my dirt platform to make it look like there is more than just brown dirt in my environment underneath the ground showing there is also some stone there as well this of course adds detail as well as interest to the player.

2d ladder of what I made for a bit of detail for my tower so it does not look like people have never been there before.

Image of what my game currently looks like, for next week Im intending to start some of my coding into this scene so that my player can start shooting and being able to kill the enemy troops with health added onto the enemy.
Wood tile sprite which is used for my background of my tower, originally it looked just like a dull brown colour with a few black lines through it to make it look like there is different planks but there was not much depth too it so I decided to remake it and made what you can see in the image below.
In the image of my plank it has a bit more depth too it and detail as well as brighter colours which would make it more appealing to the player in the scenery.
For my cyclopes attack sprite I wanted the cyclopes to simply take its axe back and swing it at the enemy to do damage as it destroys the tower. Originally it did not have much of a swing to its animation making the whole attack feel weak to watch. Because of this I decided to make the cyclopes bring his axe further back to make it look like there is more momentum to the swing as well as this I even made the axe to bend a bit so that when the animation plays it feels like there is more force smacking down at their opponent. Last of all I have added a white pixel swish to my cyclopes axe as it brings it up and smacks the axe at the enemy to show its force it is unleashing.
Next week I intend to add health for the enemy cyclopes so that it can take damage when it is being shot.

My dragon Attack Sprite is what I have made so that when it attacks it can look like it is breathing fire down at the enemy. Starting of the animation I have the dragon build up his flames and then as he shoots the flames out the flames burst out as if they are hitting something as the flames breakup and spread over an small space. It can also make it look like perhaps the wind is there as well as it is putting a force back against the flames.

For next week I plan to code my game so I can finally have my game functioning a bit as I start to write out my code. My first bit will be focused on the player shooting and killing his enemies.
