This week in my FMP I have been continuing the designing and modelling for my project of my games assets. I have sketched out drawings on my designs and have been making them come to life in 3ds max as I have been modelling out the looks of the assets with specifically editable poly, I have been making and additional small hill for my mote and baily outpost design and I have been making the fences, the spiked walls and other small models in my game. I have continued to use the textures from textures.com and have been mapping out and using the spot healing brush tool to make the textures blend well with a small 3d look to them to make it seem more real to a first person perspective.
I have not been finding any major errors to the project for the last week except unity bugging out on me on one occasion, this part of the project is my favourite and I am happy with what I am doing, currently I am making lots of progress in my 3d models for the game I am creating.
However the project as a whole is not looking as good, this is because I may be doing ok with the modelling and stuff but each thing I have to do for the one item in my game I am having research and evaluate a lot, because of this it is making me worried whether or not I can get the game to a finish in time as I have to make sure everything is also completed. This is because for the project there isn’t something like a scale of how much is bad from good amount of work there may be a check list to tick off things we have done but to how much we do of it I am not sure of as for every one of us doing this project it will vary for. To me it honestly feels that I need to do something of what a whole companies worth of people should have to do during a year as I want everything in my game to be perfect and in how it looks yet be also complete on time.
