Castles

Castles first came around the time of 5 to 7 thousand years ago from ancient civilisations from Indian, China and Egypt. The first early stone castles in England were very flat and square/rectangular shaped in every part of the castle, from the towers to the walk ways, castles had to be put together fast so at the times of 5th to the 9th century castles were more commonly used wood than stone as the stone castles took longer and more time to make so they were not as common in that time. The most used type of castle was the mote and baily castle which had the castle on a high ground area and a mote was dug around the land so that attacker’s could not easily come up to the walls to attack them.

King Arthur

King Arthur was the king of Camelot and the knights of the round table, he was the son of Uther Pendragon, he is a mythical character which some people are in debate whether he is a myth or real, the majority of people think he is a myth. Some say Arthur died to an infected wound by his nephew Mordred at the battle of Camlann after Mordred took the throne for himself after Arthur crossed the English channel to fight the Romans while others say he went to the magical Ilse of Avalon to be cured of his wounds. Before he died some people think that king Arthur won up to 12 battles in his life with the help of the knights of the round table, some of his most well known knights are Sir Lancelot, Sir Gawain, Sir Percival and Sir Galahad.

Mood board of king arthur time.PNGFrom the research which I have gathered I have taken it into account as to how my game will play out, as I am currently planning out my game design as I get my research I may use some of this in my game, I may make a short story driven game of how Arthur was killed at the battle of Camelan and maybe have  Arthurs knights there with him, however I am still designing the game so I may not end up using this but ill take it into consideration as to what my game will become.
