Camelot
Camelot was King Arthurs castle, court and his capital were he ruled during his time. There has been many discussions in regards of were Camelot was some say it was on the outskirts of Huddersfield while others think it was at Tintagel castle in the south of England. Some people think that castle was linked to being an important Roman trading post and as some believe that Arthur may have been a Roman leader it is possible to connect the two.

Saxon England
Saxon England was in the time of the 5th to the 11th century it is believed that king Arthur fought with or against them, the Saxons are believed to have come from Denmark, north Germany and the Netherlands. When they came to England they at first lived in small villages until they realised walled areas were great fortresses, so Roman towns like London were never completely abandoned.
I have researched the Saxons as not only were they around during king Arthurs time period but to how life was like back then.

King Uther Pendragon
King Uther was king Arthurs father who became Arthur’s father after Merlin the wizard used his magic to make Uther appear as Goloris and seduce Igraine, which Uther then becomes the father of Arthur. After Uther dies no one knew who the next king should be as people had no idea that Arthur was the son to Uther, Merlin tells that who ever pulls the sword from the stone is the one true king and eventually Arthur came to pull out the sword.

From the research of what I have gathered I think I may do a game on how Arthur came to pull the sword from the stone as a short story game to become the king. I will also defiantly set my games time in the Saxon era as many sources have said that king Arthur was thought to be living in the time of the Saxon era.

I have asked a couple of people I know about my game design and they have said it was a good solid idea for the time I have got and that it was well planned out with its design, it was also suggested to do a more cartoony artsyle than a realistic as they said it would be easier for me to pull off to make it look good, however I am going to challenge myself a bit and do it in a more realistic impression, I have decided to do this to progress my skills a little bit and to get a better impression of how things looked like back then.
